What biology do you need for MCAT?

Two semesters of general biology with labs are the primary prerequisites for the MCAT. Students are expected to know an introductory-level knowledge of topics like anatomy, physiology, genetics, molecular biology, DNA structure and function and evolution.

Is biology 2 on the MCAT?

At some schools, General Biology 1 and 2 both cover topics tested on the MCAT. After Biology, Biochemistry is the second most tested natural science subject on the exam. This means that there are more Biochemistry questions than questions on General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or Physics.

Is molecular biology needed for MCAT?

So anatomy and physiology, while it doesn’t hurt, is not going to be the most important class for you to take to prepare for the MCAT. Along with the standard prereqs, cell biology and molecular genetics will be more beneficial.

Do you need molecular biology for MCAT?

Can I take the MCAT without biochemistry?

Full Member. It is possible but difficult. Biochem is arguably the most important class to take before the MCAT.

Is developmental biology good for MCAT?
