What is Kenalog Orabase used for?
This medication is used for the temporary relief of symptoms from mouth sores due to injury. This drug comes in a dental paste that allows it to stick to the inside of the mouth/cheeks/gums. It works by reducing the swelling, itching, and pain that can occur with mouth sores.
Can you use Orabase in the mouth?
Orabase is for use only inside the mouth. Avoid getting this medication in your eyes. Avoid swallowing the paste while applying it to your gums or the inside of your mouth.
How do you use Orabase?
Take a small dab of Orabase paste and coat the involved area of the mouth with a thin film. Hold in position until it becomes sticky. Do not attempt to rub it in. Use as often as needed for continuous relief particularly after eating, or use as directed by a dentist or physician.
Can you use Orabase paste on mouth ulcers?
Orabase® paste acts as a protective covering when applied to the mouth ulcer. A small amount of paste is dabbed on the affected area as often as needed, particularly after eating. Do not rub in. How often can you use Orabase?
Do not use this medication more than 4 times a day unless directed by your doctor. Allow medication to stay on painful area for at least 1 minute before spitting out or rinsing the mouth.
Can I use kenalog on my tongue?
Kenalog in Orabase is only for use in your mouth. You should not swallow this medicine. You should not put it in your eyes.
