With an implantation dip, the fall only lasts a day—your temperature will go back up the next day. This is unlike what happens after your period starts, in which case your temperature drops and stays down.
How does implantation affect temperature?
An implantation dip refers to a decrease in basal body temperature of a few tenths of a degree — for example from 97.9 to 97.6°F (36.6°C to 36.4°C) — for a period of one day.
