Is Sirius and SiriusXM the same?

XM and Sirius have merged and are now one company. Each system uses vastly different hardware, so a technical merger will not happen. At the programming level, both services now carry essentially the same channels.

Where did my Sirius channels go?

If you just subscribed or are missing channels, visit to activate and refresh your radio. Click here if you have not yet activated your radio. Stay up-to-date on your account and log in to the Online Account Center to view and pay your bill as well as manage your subscription.

Can Sirius radio be transferred?

Yes! You can transfer your current service to a different radio, as long as your old radio is not currently active on a trial subscription. Certain restrictions apply for Lifetime plans you may want to transfer. Also, please note you cannot transfer a trial subscription to another radio.

Can I use my SiriusXM subscription in two cars?

Once you switch from a trial into a paying subscription, you can combine multiple radios into one account and you may be eligible for a discount on the additional radios. Why am I missing channels on SiriusXM?

Without the refresh, your Sirius radio may begin receiving some channels that should not be included with the package you’ve chosen, or you might be missing others that you expect to hear. You can easily refresh your radio from right inside your vehicle by visiting on your smartphone.

How do I transfer my Sirius account to another car?

  1. Remind current SiriusXM subscribers to visit or call the dedicated Loyal Listener Hotline at 1-855-236-9236.
  2. Customers may add a new vehicle to their account, transfer any unused service, or deactivate a vehicle they no longer own.
  3. Make sure customer has both the old and new vehicle Radio IDs handy.

How do I transfer Sirius from one car to another?

  2. Apply any unused credits toward your new subscription after your trial is over.
